Dear Sir / Madam,

Re: Donation Appeal,

On behalf of the St Agnes Orphanage, I am writing to appeal to your kindness on their plight and to participate in making the lives of the less fortunate children at this home.
There are about 200 children between the ages 10-13 in this home who are lacking in nutritious food, clothing, and

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.- 2 Corinthians 3:6

Who also hath made us able ministers ... - This translation does not quite meet the force of the original. It would seem to imply that Paul regarded himself and his fellowlaborers as people of talents, and of signal ability; and that he was inclined to boast of it. But this is not the meaning. It refers properly to his sense of the responsibility and difficulty of the work of the ministry; and to the fact that he did not esteem himself to be sufficient for this work in his own strength 2 Corinthians 2:16; 2

Romans 13 from a theonomic standpoint: Overall Principles

In the light of the recent issues with police beatings and bratty children in Government Indoctrination Centers I was asked for my exegesis on Romans 13. First of all, the text:

Rom 13:1  Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Rom 13:2  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power,

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;- 1 Peter 2:9
